When a member calls another member for help; South Line shows up and shows out; every time. With a diverse group of people specializing in all facets of life, we are not only here for our community, we are here for each other.
State of the Art Fleet / Equipment
Our members, day in and day out, provide the best level of service possible to our residents within our first due district and surrounding areas. To provide the best service, you need the best equipment. South Line takes pride in our apparatus and equipment and ensure every day it is in the best condition possible because that is what our residents deserve and expect.
Progressive EMS Program
If nothing else, South Line is known for our EMS program! As an Advanced Life Support Program, with over 25 Advanced Providers and 25 EMT’s, we take pride in staffing our 2 ambulances and ALS fly car! If EMS peaks your interest, look no further! South Line has the latest technology and equipment to take your EMS career wherever you please. We also run over 1,000 EMS runs a year, so you won’t lack gaining valuable in the field experience either!
Answer the Alarm
South Line members answer the alarm over 1,250 times a year. Within those 1,250 alarms, there are a wide range of challenges. From structure fires, to cardiac arrests, to helping an elderly person up off the ground. You never know what the next alarm will be, and you know what? That’s the exciting part! Throughout the year, South Line hosts a wide variety of outings for their members! From our annual Installation of Officers dinner, to a night out at the Bison’s game, to a night out on the Nation’s oldest fireboat, to personal and family parties. Being a member of South Line is so much more than just answering the call. Being a member of South Line offers the opportunity to grow relationships, confidence, and interpersonal skills!
State of the Art Fitness Facility
Firefighting and EMS are demanding jobs. With that comes physical demands. Here at South Line, we encourage physical fitness. So much so, our leadership dedicated a sizeable space to a full service fitness facility open 24/7 to ensure our members are at their peak physical performance at all times! With all our fitness facility has to offer, just remember, don’t skip leg day. 🙂

Volunteer on Your Own Time
South Line offers a few ways to volunteer on YOUR time! We understand that free time is hard to come by, especially in this day and age. From our traditional at home call response model, to our duty shift program, to our EMS only program, we have multiple options to choose from to suit YOUR needs!
Access to Rent Our Back Hall
As a member of South Line Fire, you have exclusive access to rent our back hall! Newly renovated with state of the art fixtures and a fully operational bar, this venue serves as a great place for birthday parties, showers, and even weddings! With the ability to rent the hall for your family and friends, this is a great benefit exclusive to South Line members!
